Fermentation Bucket is made from food grade quality plastic, with lid, drainage tap and airlock! Fitted with a specially reinforced upper edge. In white polypropylene, hence also suitable for hot liquids (up to 100 °C). With litre graduation upto 25 ltrs, 30 ltrs is too the brim

When you fit the tap to the bin, please make sure the washer is on the OUTSIDE of the fermenting bin not on the inside with the nut

Firstly I cannot understate the quality of the fermenting bin,
I have been beavering on for many years with my old trusty Boots bin and as the lid was perishing, decided to move on.

Anyone who has ever filled brown beer bottles on the floor with a syphon, trying to see the level of the beer with only an overhead light, will understand what an extraordinary boon a tap on the side is. The tap is sturdy and rotates independantly of the screw thread so you can turn it to point away from the floor without fear of it unscrewing and dumping all your beer on the floor. The lid unlike my old one, is made from the same sturdy plastic as the bin, and fits snugly all round. It has a handle to one side which lifts up lifting the edge of the lid for it to be removed. The carrying handles are comfortable with a full load and even full it is easy to move around. The only (very minor) downside for me, is that I use a immersion heater fitted into a modified rubber bung, which does not fit the lid as it has a hole for a standard airlock to fit in directly, although I am sure with a little modification and a bigger grommet, I can make this work!
Conclusion: 5/5 a brilliant piece of kit which I am sure will last me even longer than my old one and make things MUCH easier

Please note Buckets / Bins are not always airtight, so when using an airlock the fermenting co2 may or may not be extruded via the airlock as may leak from the side of the lids

Due to the UK not being part of the EU we no longer offer any shipping to the EU.
